PovertySwap was established as a Charitable Company, PovertySwap Limited, in the UK during 2010. We co-ordinate the sharing and distribution of skills, knowledge and resources worldwide. We offer practical solutions and support for people who are working amongst some of the poorest people on earth. Currently we are working with Partners in Africa, India and Asia, as well as Europe.

Helen Faulds BA

Helen_Birthday_Pose_2011Helen is an experienced Manager and committed Christian worker. She graduated with a degree in Community Development and Learning from the University of Glasgow, Scotland in 2009. Married to Ian for more than 30 years, mother of three remarkable young men and a delighted grandma she has worked with missions and community projects throughout the UK, Europe, in India, Ukraine, Eastern Europe, Nepal and central Asia for over quarter of a century!

Ian Faulds

Ian_Hippo_Safari_2010_1Ian started working life as an apprentice fitter in a dusty Scottish brickworks. His successful career in engineering has taken him into many sensitive environments, including the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, construction and project management. He is currently a consultant engineer within the nuclear industry. Ian is a gifted and experienced Team Leader and devoted dad and grandpa. He has led many short term team trips to Romania, India, Ukraine and some European nations and was Team Leader for an innovative drugs rehabilitation programme for a number of years in Scotland.

Larry Townsend

larryFrom his home in Stevenage Larry has traveled worldwide with his career in industry. He is a fascinating storyteller having found himself in many interesting situations. His many life experiences coupled with christian faith have formed in him deep, practical, compassion. He and wife Lynn are particularly passionate about work to support communities in Africa to make sustainable change. He joined the Board of PovertySwap in 2013.
